Our trip to the PHYT’S LABORATOIRES
The brilliance and sparkle of the azure blue Mediterranean Sea stretched below, encompassing the city of Nice and the other famous beaches along the French Riviera. We stayed in Nice, took the 5 hour train trip to Toulouse, and finally translated that we would like to catch the last train to Cahors, a historical medieval town with the oldest tower bridge in France - what a magical trip back in time!

In the morning we were taken on an exclusive tour of the ancient landscape of Calliac where knights and maidens fell in love, and wise women were burned at the stake for their healing powers and magical use of herbs and plants.

Laboratories Phyt’s is situated in the grounds of an ancient castle which used to be a winery, and the beauty and splendour of the gardens and the vineyard surrounding, seems to exemplify the organic natural earthy presence of Phyt’s.

After donning the appropriate coverings (head to foot), we were shown through the Certified Laboratory, viewing the production and processing of our products and the detailed manufacture of the glass phials - the product is inserted in to the glass tube and the end is heat sealed, hence the burned dark end. The manufacturing of the lipstick is an art and we learnt the casing of the lipstick is also made of organic corn - it was truly fascinating.
The training room bubbled with activity and we spent time going over the products, ones we are familiar with and new ones just released. Phyt’s have acquired an addition to their range called ‘Spa Bio Natural’, with the Cosmebio Organic Certification. We will introduce this divine spa range in the new year. Training for the body treatments reawakened our familiarity with the active ingredients and the specific massage technique employed by Phyt’s.
